Pricing Product Photography – Guide

This pricing guide is to help clients get an understanding of how we structure our product photography pricing.
Please contact us as soon as you know what items you are photographing this time and the exact numbers for the shoot. We can then make up a full written quote that reflects your true project needs.

We understand businesses are often working in a fast paced environment and need images as quickly as possible for marketing. 

Our aim is to get projects underway quickly for clients with close deadlines, but it’s still well worth booking your projects in as soon as you know there is one coming up. 

This ensures we have space and studio time set aside for you.

Once your images have been photographed the images are often ready for download 48 hours from the original shoot time.

All images are professionally retouched and have clipping paths added to them for background removal for marketing usage and ease of use by graphic designers and website designers.

Getting larger sets of images photographed at the same time is by far the most cost effective way to get your photography completed.

The best way to approach this is to email us the details of your project size and scope, We can then provide you with an accurate quote that truly reflects your needs.

We have photographed thousands of images for some of our larger clients requiring revamped websites and entire new catalogue shoots.

Some of these larger jobs have been photographed for as little as $20 per image.

Reflections can be achieved in two ways.

– The object is photographed on a reflective surface. ( Pre organised & most ideal solution )

– The reflection is added afterwards by image manipulation. ( Post production ) This can be added to any of your existing images to fit in with the new image styles you would like to achieve for your shots.

Price – Free organised for the original shot.

Price – $10 organised after the shoot.

Bulk – $8 organised after the shoot.

Drop shadows again can be achieved through two methods.

– The drop shadow is added in post production this is usually the best way to achieve the style and cleanness of the shadow effects.

– The object is photographed with the desired shadowing effect originally.

Price – Free organized for the original shot.

Price – $10 organised after the shoot.

Bulk – $8 organised after the shoot.

Invisible / Ghost Mannequin Effect

Invisible / Ghost Mannequin Photography:

– This can only be achieved through post production methods and requires two or more shots of the object to be taken to show the interior of the garment so the shots can then be put together afterwards to create the elution of ghost mannequin.

This offers a very clean and modern way to illustrate your clothing and fashion wears that looks clean effective and creates more sales than standard mannequin shots.

The pricing would be for standard product photography +

+ Hire costs for the style of mannequin you require (Mannequin can be supplied by you)

The costs for this style varies depending on the complexity of the post production required.

Flat Shot Clothing Photography:

– There will always be a place for flat shot clothing photography, for either reference material or cheaper items that do not justify the expense of a model or invisible mannequin images.

For photography the items will need to be fully pressed / ironed ready for the shoot. If previously organized, we can hire professional ironer to do this during the shoot itself per day.

The pricing would be for standard product photography + any extra hire costs.

Modeled clothing / Fashion Photography:

– This is a great way to give your clothing images that spark of life that can only really be achieved by placing a real person in front of the camera.

These photo shoots are usually worked out by full day or half day rates taking in to account the extra costs of the model, stylist (hair and makeup) and number of images being retouched to finish the project.

Glass, wine or beer bottle photography is quite specific art where very subtle changes in lighting can change the dynamic of an image massively.

Its well worth getting great shots of your bottles because they are essentially luxury items and as such need to portray this through the images that showcase them.

We price our bottle photography at the standard product photography rate to make it possible for suppliers and manufacturers to get the shots they need to create great marketing.
